Being dancers has led us to places we never thought we’d go as dancers. Today we found ourselves in the United Nations General Assembly Hall, listening in on the closing ceremony of the UN Youth Assembly. We were invited as a part of The Vanaver Caravan, the world dance and music company we’re a part of. Alongside our friend Joel Hanna, a master Irish step dancer and foot percussionist, we as members of the Caravan presented our specialized cultural dance forms to the room of youth delegates on the opening gala evening. We even taught the whole room how to swing dance! This is our second time presenting to the youth delegates from around the world, and we very much look forward to more opportunities for cultural exchanges such as these.
Sitting in listening to the closing ceremony absolutely inspired us. We learned about the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 and invite you to take part and make choices to better this world in your everyday life! Learn more here:
