Collegiate Instruction at NYU, Columbia University, and The Juilliard School

In just a five day span we instructed at New York University (NYU), Columbia University, and The Juilliard School. At NYU, Brian is the weekly beginner Lindy Hop instructor for the NYU Swing Dance Society, and Samantha is the guest intermediate instructor for the month of November. At Columbia, we were invited to guest instruct for the CU Swing Dance Club during the week, and held a special Solo Jazz and Charleston workshop over the weekend. At Juilliard, Samantha taught a workshop for the Dance Division alongside our good friend and talented artist, Caleb Teicher. We are THRILLED to have received such opportunities to support our alma mater (NYU), to provide new insight in instruction for our once “rival” university (Columbia), and to work with such inspiring and talented artists committed to the pursuit of their field in the performing arts (Juilliard). We could not believe this all unrolled in just under a week, and we feel so blessed to have received these opportunities!

Many thanks to the e-board at NYU Swing Dance Club; Evita Arce, Nathan Bugh, Sarah-Alice Hanna, and Joanne Raptis for the opportunity at Columbia; and to Yvonne Marceau and Caleb Teicher for the incredible experience at Juilliard!

We love teaching partner dances at schools and universities, as the minds and bodies we work with are so eager for knowledge and so willing to expand and grow in new experiences!

Here’s to changing the world one rock-step at a time!
